Within half an hour of this door there is a canal port tied to the survey Leonardo made of these coasts in 1502, a Roman amphitheatre, a water park and a 210-hectare pine forest. San Marino sits a little further on, forty-two minutes away.

It was the home of Massimiliano Placentino, before he moved away. Even the name of the house is a family matter: «Plac» comes from his surname, Placentino.
Inside, everything has stayed. His books, the painting of the port of Cesenatico above the sofa, and the green wardrobe from the kids' room.
The house is in Gatteo, the same town where Secondo Casadei was born in 1906, the composer of «Romagna mia». He lived here for years, and now he opens it up to other families.

The beach is five minutes away and San Marino forty-two. Everything else is in between: you change plans in the morning and by evening you're back.

You have breakfast when you wake up, not when the dining room opens. You come back from the beach and the shower is free, the fridge is yours and the toys are where you left them.
Right outside
Private street-level garage on request (extra charge). Otherwise the parking space right below the house is free: you unload the suitcases in front of the door, and the car stays there until you need it.
In the evening
Residential area, soundproofed flat: the seafront is on the other side of the fields.
First floor
With the pushchair or with the shopping, you go up without stairs.
On arrival
He hands you the keys, and he also tells you where to buy the fish.
Two and two
Two bedrooms for four people, two showers. And if there are five of you, the fifth sleeps on the big sofa in the living room.
With children
Swimsuits and t-shirts full of sand go in the washing machine, not in the suitcase. Bed linen and towels are included: a bath towel, a hand towel and a guest towel for each of you.
Fibre at 230 Mbps and a real table to open your laptop on. Rimini Fiera is twenty-two minutes away and the motorway exit three: you close the laptop and five minutes later you're on the beach.
