Right outside
Arrive, and just leave the car there
Free parking, right outside. In August, on the seafront, the first thought of the day is where to leave the car. Here, that thought doesn't exist.
Family holiday home in Holiday home · Gatteo (FC) · Romagna
Quiet residential area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms: all the space to rediscover the simple rhythm of being together. The sea is nine minutes by car — close enough to go every day, far enough to leave the noise on the seafront and come back, in the evening, to tranquility.
33 public reviews · 9.7 on Booking · 5.0 on Airbnb
We haven't just picked out the nicest lines to show here: you can read them in full, on Booking and Airbnb, with the real names of people who've already stayed. Trust starts here too — being able to check everything for yourself.
«Extremely well-equipped and spotlessly clean apartment, in a quiet area.» Sofia — Airbnb, June 2025 · translated from Italian
«Everything wonderful! Modern and beautifully kept. Anna, who welcomed us, is so lovely and kind.» Elena — Booking · translated from Italian
Scores recorded on 22 August 2026. Even the lowest-rated aspect, location, stays high: nine minutes from the sea hasn't put anyone off. Who's behind Casa Plac

The fortress on the cliff
In warm piadina, in creamy squacquerone, in the character of formaggio di fossa, in a glass of Sangiovese. Straightforward, generous flavors that don't need introductions — just like the people who live here.
Casa Plac was Massimiliano's home. Here he raised his children, before moving away. Even the name carries something personal: «Plac» comes from his surname, Placentino.
Inside, that story hasn't been erased. His real books are still there, not volumes chosen to fill a shelf. There's the painting of the port of Cesenatico above the sofa. And there's the green wardrobe from the old kids' room, left in its place the way things you're fond of tend to stay.
It's in Gatteo, the same town where Secondo Casadei was born in 1906, the composer of «Romagna mia» — we didn't make that up. Casa Plac wasn't furnished to be photographed: it was lived in, and then opened up to new families.
Seventy-five square meters, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a real kitchen — a home where you can take your time over breakfast without feeling like you're just passing through. From the balcony your gaze opens onto the countryside, not the sea: a quiet horizon, authentically Romagnolo. The photos, too, show the home exactly as it is, without wide angles that stretch the rooms.
On the seafront there's the energy of summer. Here there's the quiet to come back to.
Right outside

In the evening
Residential area, soundproofed home. It's the phrase that comes up most often in the reviews, on Booking and Airbnb: "quiet location." The next morning everyone sets off again in good spirits.
First floor
With the stroller, with the shopping, with anyone who struggles on stairs. The day you arrive and the day you leave feel completely different.
Two and two
A double room, a room with two single beds, a sofa bed in the living room. Four people with two bathrooms leave the house all together, not in shifts.
230 Mbps
Fast fiber, and a real table to open your laptop on. Extend the weekend, or come for the Rimini trade fair — 22 minutes — without having to choose between work and vacation.
On arrival
Keys in hand, the house explained, where to buy fish. In six different reviews, on two platforms, guests remember her by name — it isn't just a polite phrase.
Every place sits in its true direction. The radius is the minutes by car, calculated one by one on the road network — not eyeballed.
From here the sea is one of the things you do, not the only one. In half an hour you can be at a canal port tied to the survey Leonardo made of these coasts in 1502, at a Roman amphitheater, at a water park, in an independent republic, inside a 210-hectare pine forest. It's the advantage of staying in the middle, not out on the edge.

Writing to me here, you speak directly with me — not with an agency, not with someone who knows this house only through a listing.
Not an agency
You tell me when you'd like to arrive, you ask me whatever you need to know. I reply within an hour on average — on Airbnb I've answered 100% of messages.
No price list
There's no fixed price list to check, because it would be out of date within a month. Send me your dates, and you'll get the price for those days — the real one.
Zero commissions
Booking directly, they keep nothing. The relationship stays simple from the start: you, your dates, and the person who will welcome you.
Message me on WhatsApp, call, or fill in the form with the dates you have in mind. I'll answer myself, within an hour on average — not a booking office, not the kind of price that grows when it's time to pay: the real price for those days. The sea, Romagna and a real home are waiting for you. To begin, just write.
The opening photograph was generated with artificial intelligence (Flux); it is not the real beach at Gatteo.
